EVANS CITY - District Judge Wayne Seibel recently had these cases come before him:

Keith Eugene Matthews, 27, of Franklin waived his case to court. He was charged Nov. 24 by the state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license and careless driving.

Jeffrey Scott Checkan, 27, of Renfrew waived his case to court. He was charged Dec. 16 by the state police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, failure to keep right, careless driving and reckless driving.

Tanner Jay Neuhaeusler, 18, of Renfrew waived his case to court. He was charged Jan. 15 by the Evans City police with criminal conspiracy to manufacture/deliver/possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver narcotics, manufacturing/delivering/possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and speeding.

Jason Thomas Ewing, 18, of Butler waived his case to court. He was charged Jan. 15 by the Evans City police with criminal conspiracy to manufacture/deliver/possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver narcotics, manufacturing/delivering/possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and recklessly endangering another person.

Ernesto Colon, 55, of Olmstead Falls, Ohio, waived his case to court. He was charged May 24, 2004 by the state Attorney General's office of insurance fraud for filing a fake/fraud/incomplete insurance claim and attempted theft by deception.

David Andrew Vriendt, 30, of Evans City waived his case to court. He was charged Dec. 23 by the state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle and careless driving.

Christopher M. Friedman, 20, of Zelienople waived his case to court. He was charged Jan. 18 by Zelienople police with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft by unlawful taking and two counts of receiving stolen property.

James A. Sopher, 18 of Cranberry Township waived his case to court. He was charged Dec. 23 by the Jackson Township police with possession of a weapon on school property.

CRANBERRY TWP - District Judge Kelley Streib recently had these cases come before her:Richard D. Mansfield, 34, of Mars waived his case to court. He was charged Dec. 22 by Cranberry Township police with driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and making an improper left turn.Jason Misencik, 24, of Freedom, Beaver County, waived his case to court. He was charged Oct. 13 by Cranberry Township police with 10 counts of writing bad checks.William P. Kennihan II, 25, of Cranberry Township waived his three separate cases to court. He was charged Sept. 3 by the township police with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license. He was charged Sept. 29 by the township police with four counts of theft by deception, receiving stolen property and four counts of forgery. He also was charged Sept. 22 by the Adams Township police with two counts of forgery, two counts of theft by unlawful taking and two counts of receiving stolen property.Michael Galore, 19, address unknown, waived his case to court. He was charged Jan. 5 by the Cranberry Township police with forgery, theft by deception, two counts of receiving stolen property and writing bad checks.

SLIPPERY ROCK - These cases came before District Judge Clifford Woessner on Jan. 25:Brandon B. Miller, 26, of Slippery Rock waived his case to court. He was charged with driving under the influence by Slippery Rock Police on Jan. 1 at the Sheetz gas station in Slippery Rock.Nicolas J. Shaffer, 23, of Lewes, Del., appeared on two counts of simple assault, stalking, indecent assault, false imprisonment and two counts of harassment. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Jan. 4 when Shaffer allegedly assaulted a female leaving Ginger Hill Tavern in Slippery Rock, between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m. A hearing will take place March 7.Shelly M. McNamee, 34, of Portersville appeared on the charges of speeding, careless driving, driving with a suspended license and recklessly endangering another person. McNamee was driving north on I-79 in Muddy Creek Township on Nov. 16 when she lost control of her vehicle and rolled the car onto its roof. Her three-month-old baby was in the car and suffered injuries. A hearing will take place on March 7 at the Butler Government Center.
