Darlene Kay McDonald, 59, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, at Heritage Valley Hospital.

Born on March 27, 1963, in Butler, Darlene was the daughter of the late Paul R. Hutzley and the late Eleanor J. (Gaiser) Hutzley.

Darlene loved boating and fishing at Moraine. She enjoyed her 5-year-old beagle and spending time with her grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by her husband, David E. McDonald, whom she married on Sept. 25, 1981; two sons, David Paul McDonald of Butler and Daniel Lee (Kim) McDonald of Hilliards; and three grandchildren, Beau, Kaylyn and Aubrie.

She also is survived by one brother, Brian (Carol) Hutzley of Renfrew.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

MCDONALD — Family and friends of Darlene Kay McDonald, who died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Funeral services will be held privately with Pastor Jacob Klutinoty of North Street Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Darlene’s family.
