The Butler County Historical Society is now selling copies of the pictorial history book "Main Street Butler:An Album, 1960 and 1980" by Stephen Pozar.

The book features photos of Main Street taken in the early 1960s and in 1980 and reminiscences about Butler's downtown.

Purchases can be made from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at the society's office in the Lowrie/Shaw House, 123 W. Diamond St., or by calling 724-283-8116.

ZELIENOPLE — Tickets are now available for a dinner and dance to benefit the Lexi's First Sight fund.The event will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Zelienople American Legion, 308 W. New Castle St.Proceeds benefit Lexi Smith, a third grade student at Evans City Elementary School who is awaiting treatment for optic nerve hypoplasia, a condition that has left her blind.For tickets, call 724-452-8861. Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will host its annual Holiday Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 24.The event will feature crafts by more than 20 local artisans and a used book sale. Lunch will be available for purchase.

GIBSONIA — The Presents for Patients Program will host its annual Light-up Night and Carol Sing from 4:45 to 6:30 p.m. Monday outside of St. Barnabas Nursing Home, 5827 Meridian Road.The event is open to the community and will feature a Christmas tree lighting and a carol sing led by the Pine-Richland cheerleaders.Santa Claus will visit the event and refreshments will be served.The Presents for Patients program seeks to deliver gifts and holiday season visits to long-term care residents in more than 275 facilities.
