Raymond and Edith Johnston

Raymond and Edith Johnston of Renfrew will celebrate 55 years of marriage Wednesday. Afamily dinner is planned.

The former Edith Bowser married Johnston Sept. 12, 1952, at Reformed Church in Zelienople.

They have two children, Raymond Johnston of Butler and Shelly Tolo of Seattle.

They also have three grandchildren.

Johnston is retired from Armco Steel. He sings with The Southernaires gospel group.

Mrs. Johnston is the retired owner and operator of a beauty salon.

The couple belongs to Community Alliance Church, where Johnston participates in the church choir and Mrs. Johnston serves as a deaconess and member of the Women's Association.
