12:52 p.m. Monday - A Butler man and woman face numerous charges, including assault, after police responded to a disturbance call at 105 Maryland Ave. Lynda Locke, 23, of Butler was charged with simple assault, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and having an expired registration for her vehicle. Robert E. Kennedy Jr. was charged with simple assault and criminal mischief. Although Locke and Kennedy gave different stories about the incident, each did have bruises from their fight. Locke gave police marijuana and a wooden pipe, which had burnt residue, claiming it was Kennedy's Each was jailed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.7:23 a.m. Sept. 22 - Amanda Sarver of Butler reported a hit-and-run accident in which an unknown vehicle struck her parked car on South Sixth Avenue overnight. The vehicle left white paint on Sarver's car.10:44 a.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Carl Opperman, 25, of Butler backed into a parked vehicle owned by Darla Naidus in the East Jefferson Street parking lot.3:03 a.m. Saturday - Thomas A. Hollerman, 18, of Butler was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, accidental damage to unattended vehicles, driving down a one-way street, driving through stop signs, fleeing from police, recklessly endangering another person and driving with a suspended license after leading police on a chase. Hollerman allegedly took the car for a ride without permission from the car's owner, Thomas Pascazi, 48, of Butler or his son, Aaron Pascazi, 17, who was using the car that night. After police tried to pull over Hollerman, he fled, hitting numerous garbage cans and parked vehicles. One of the cars was hit so hard it flipped onto its roof. Police eventually found the car abandoned in the yard of 117 Cleveland St., where it was smoking. While police interviewed Aaron Pascazi, he eventually told them Hollerman admitted wrecking the car earlier that night. During the chase across city streets, there was a 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle, leading to the reckless endangerment charge. Hollerman was arraigned before District Judge Pete Shaffer and placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.3:24 a.m. Tuesday - A vehicle driven by Kelly Everton, 33, of Butler was traveling on South Chestnut Street when it struck two parked vehicles and a tree before coming to a stop after hitting a third parked vehicle just south of West Penn Street.1:32 p.m. Sept. 12 - Lester Jack Huselton, 54, Butler was charged with driving under the influence following an accident in which his vehicle struck the rear of a motorcycle driven by Michael Beale, 39, of Fenelton near the A-Plus store at the intersection of Monroe and Jefferson streets. Huselton was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bond.
3:30 p.m. Sept. 11 - Unknown vandals caused $400 worth of damage to several golf greens and a golf cart at Serene Valley Golf Course on Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.11 a.m. Saturday - Kenneth Krumpe, 44, of Petrolia reported an unknown person was attempting an Internet scam. When Krumpe was trying to sell an unspecified item via the Internet, the buyer forwarded him a check for more money than the asking price, requesting the extra amount be sent back through Krumpe's account. Krumpe didn't forward any money.Sept. 5 - Mary Ziegler, 76, of Renfrew reported an unknown person attempted to use her checking account number to conduct a $398 electronic transfer. She provided her number after the person called her, saying there was a problem with one of the checks. Police are investigating.
