11:10 p.m. Saturday - A car driven by Marilyn Levin, 70, of Butler Township and a pickup truck driven by Brandon Allison, 22, of Slippery Rock collided at Main and Cunningham streets. Richard Graham, 23, of Slippery Rock, a passenger in the pickup who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.
7 p.m. Monday - An unidentified vehicle struck a gas meter along Chicora Road in Summit Township and did not stop following the crash. A small amount of gas escaped before the meter, owned by T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co., was repaired.Sunday - About 40 aluminum rims were taken from a storage building between 3 p.m. Friday and noon Sunday in a burglary at Walter's Auto Wrecking on Old Route 68 in Forward Township.9:19 p.m. Saturday - Russell Kelosky, 40, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was found passed out behind the wheel of a car on Main Street in Prospect.5:59 p.m. Saturday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Richard Newman, 41, of Cabot and a car driven by Daniel Jones, 28, of Kittanning collided on Marwood Road in Winfield Township.12:30 a.m. Saturday - Charles Burkhart, 36, was arrested for allegedly assaulting Denise Serrano, 49, at the couple's Cromwell Drive home in Clinton Township. Serrano was taken by ambulance to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Allegheny County, with a rib injury suffered in the assault.Police arrested Burkhart at a Brewer Road home in Clinton Township. The defendant was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $3,000.Friday - Two barns on Badger Hill Road in Muddy Creek Township were burglarized between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday.Ten saddles and a wheelbarrow used to make off with the saddles were taken from one barn at the home of Ronald Reich. In the other break-in at the home of Terry Luster, a Shindaiwa chainsaw and weed-eater were taken.
6:25 p.m. Sunday - Marianne Herbolich, 46, of Valencia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her sport utility vehicle crashed on Route 8 in Irwin Township, Venango County, near the Butler County line.Police said Herbolich was driving a Chrysler PT Cruiser south on Route 8 when the vehicle spun clockwise. The vehicle traveled off the road, struck an embankment and "began to flip and cartwheel," a police report said.The vehicle ended on its roof, more than 377 feet from where it first spun out. Herbolich and Edward McCafferty, 47, of Valencia, a passenger in the vehicle, suffered minor injuries. Police said Herbolich was wearing a seat belt; McCafferty was not.
7:20 p.m. Monday - Martin Patterson, 39, no known address, was arrested for assaulting Jennifer Lynn King, 25, of Kittanning during a domestic dispute at a Highland Park Trailer Court home in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. Patterson, who is charged with simple assault, remains in the Armstrong County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.Friday - A man between noon and 1 p.m. allegedly exposed himself to a pair of women and another man at Main and Bear streets in Worthington, Armstrong County. A 33-year-old Worthington man, whom police did not identify, is suspected in the case that remains under investigation.
Friday - An unknown burglar kicked in a garage door at the Pennzoil store on Leesburg Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County, and took an undisclosed amount of currency from a cash drawer in the building. The burglary occurred between 7 p.m. Thursday and 3:45 a.m. Friday.
