Selfridge

Bertha Ruby Selfridge, 81, of Centerville, Texas, formerly of Fifth Ave-nue, died Wedn-esday at her Texas home.

Born June 21, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was the son of Henry C. and Bertha Rulland Goempel.

She was formerly a freelance artist.

She was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church.

She was a graduate of Brentwood High School.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Bertram L. Gaines of Ridgeville, Ohio, and Albert D. Gaines of Casper, Wyo.; and two daughters, Candice J. Gaines of Butler and Michelle H. Martin of Centerville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arlington Lemar Gaines in 1965; her second husband, Michael Chatsko in 1969, and her third husband William H. Selfridge in 1985. Also preceding her in death was a friend, Leif Von Krough.

She had 10 grandchildren, Russel, Jesse and Kara Gaines; Christopher Geibel, Skylar Cooper, Azza Novelli, Albert Gaines Jr., Brooklyn Counts, Rachel Martin Moffitt and Shelby Martin.

<B>SELFRIDGE</B> — Visitation for Bertha Ruby Selfridge, who died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with her son, the Rev. Bertram L.
