A reception for three Butler area artists and their ArtPrize entries on display at The Art Center will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
ArtPrize, which takes place in the fall in Grand Rapids, Mich., is an international art competition offering more than $500,000 in cash prizes.
The three works entered by Butler area artists in the fall are “Sleeping Bear Dunes” by Dennis Keyes, “I Hear the Train a Comin'” by Tom Panei and “The Moment, Nails Endured” by Bill Secunda.
The three men also competed in the ArtPrize contest in 2013, and Secunda was part of the show for several years before that.
The display continues through Jan. 24 at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St.

TITUSVILLE — Drake Well Museum will present Something More Saturdays, a monthly program offering visitors learning experiences not included in a typical visit to the museum.Scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the second Saturday of each month, Something More Saturday programs are included in regular admission fees of $10 for adults ages 12 to 64, $8 for senior citizens as well as groups of 10 or more, and $5 for youths ages 3 to 11. Active military and their families and children younger than 3 are admitted free.
