Elmer and Anna Doerr

Anna and Elmer Doerr of Cabot celebrated 70 years of marriage with a family dinner Dec. 27 at Concordia Haven, where they reside.

Doerr married the former Anna Montag on Feb. 14, 1942.

They have three children, Barbara Laskey of Morrisville, N.C., Daniel Doerr of Milford, Conn., and Sharon Schmetzer of Cincinnati.

They also have four grandchildren.

Doerr is a retired salesman. He is a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army and a member of VFW Post 7376.

Mrs. Doerr was a piano teacher and church organist. She is a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

The Doerrs are members of St. Luke’s Lutheran in Cabot.
