Dale L. Goettler

Dale L. Goettler, 68, of Butler, died Monday in the emergency department of Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 5, 1935, in Butler, he was a son of the late Eugene C. and Margaret E. (McKillop) Goettler.

He had worked it the melt shop of Armco Steel Plant in Butler for more than 30 years, and liked wagons and wagon wheels.

He was a Roman Catholic.

Mr. Goettler was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara E. Goettler of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four sons, Bruce J. Goettler of Butler, John B. and Robert D. Goettler, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Stephen P. Goettler of Warren; a daughter, Mrs. J.T. (Jeanne) Sutton of Morgantown, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Jay B. Goettler of Butler; and his friend and companion, Deretha Tribley of Butler.

He was preceded in death by a son.

GOETTLER - Friends of Dale L. Goettler, who died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday from St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. The Rev. Jack Nanz will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler. The Womens Council of St. Peter will meet at 10:40 a.m. Saturday at the church to recite the rosary.
