Frederick J. Crato
Frederick Joseph Crato, 88, of Butler, formerly of Carnegie, passed away Sunday at Shelbourne Assisted Living in Butler.
He was born May 25, 1922, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph Crato and Florence (Longo) Crato.
Frederick loved dancing, singing and being involved in the Adult Day Health Care program at the VA Butler Healthcare medical center.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are three daughters, Rose Remick of Slidell, Pa., Arlene Sutton of Butler and Linda Niece of Orlando, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Romy Crato, who passed away Dec. 29, 1985; a daughter, Patty Bell; a sister; and two brothers.
