3:55 p.m. Wednesday — A truck driven by an unknown person with florescent orange wire hanging off its side struck the driver's side mirror of a vehicle driven by Betty Kelly, 66, of Grove City with the wire.2:35 a.m. today — Belinda Shields of Butler was cited for using a $32.67 bad check at Friedman's.2:24 a.m. today — Bryan Lee Conner, 18, of Butler was charged with writing three bad checks to Friedman's over three days. The total value of the checks was $54.61.
3 p.m. Monday — A car driven by a 16-year-old Slippery Rock girl was traveling on West Liberty Road in Brady Township when it struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof. Both the driver and her passenger, a 16-year-old Prospect girl, were wearing seat belts and received minor injuries.8:15 p.m. Monday — A car driven by David Mcquisition, 59, of Butler and a truck driven by Joseph Green, 42, of Renfrew sideswiped each other on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township. Neither driver was injured.Tuesday — An unknown vehicle struck a parked Ford Ranger owned by Nicholas Andreassi of Chicora in the parking lot of Bruin Bowling Lanes in Parker Township between 11:30 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. The impact pushed the Ranger into a parked Chevrolet Venture owned by Shirley Craig of Chicora. Anyone with information about the accident should call police at 724-284-8100.2:30 a.m. Sunday — Martin D. Rosas, 27, of Columbus, Ohio, was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 356 in Butler Township.
5:26 Monday — Ashley Elizabeth Ferree, 21, of New Castle was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, driving under the influence, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and criminal mischief. Ferree is accused of causing a disturbance at Country Crossing Gifts on Perry Highway in Springfield Township and then hitting and kicking state Trooper Sandra Fischer, 53. Ferree was arraigned before District Judge Lorinda Hinch and is in Mercer County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.
Dec. 14 — Douglas L. Angelette, 34, of Grove City was charged for writing bad checks. The charge stems from a Nov. 20 incident during which Angelette passed a bad check for $12.75 at Grove City Beverage, 1121 W. Main St.Dec. 14 — It was reported that a powder blue Schwinn mountain bike was taken from a residence in the 100 block of Edgewood Avenue sometime in the middle of November.Dec. 15 — Emily Louise Arndt, 19, of McKees Rocks was arrested for underage drinking following a traffic stop involving the vehicle in which she was riding.Dec. 15 — It was reported that a 30-inch, white, plastic snowman was taken from an East Pine Street yard between 5:30 and 7:20 a.m.2 a.m. Dec. 15 — Andrew Wilder, 21, of Monroeville was arrested on two counts of driving under the influence. He was also cited for speeding and duty of driver on approach of emergency vehicle. Police stopped Wilder for speeding on West Main Street.6:19 a.m. Dec. 15 — A car driven by Robert Rakowsky III, 29, of Mercer slid into a curb at the intersection of East Main and Maple streets. The vehicle had to be towed.
