Ashley McKnight scored three goals to lead the Grove City High girls soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Conneaut Valley Monday.

Helen Phipps accounted for the other goal and Jess Nichols added an assist. Emma Stapleton had the shutout in goal.

The Eagles (6-0-1, 4-0-1) will play at Maplewood Wednesday.

Slippery Rock 9, Hickory 0 -

Beth Reefer led the scoring outburst with three goals, while Jence Rhoads added two scores for the Rockets.

Allison Perry got the shutout in goal.

Knoch 1, Mars 1 -

Nicole Reiser scored for Knoch (6-4-1) off an assist from P.J. Abels.

Zach Angert scored two goals and added an assist, and Mark Ferguson scored twice as Karns City dominated West Shamokin 6-0 Monday night.Andrew Harmon tallied a goal and three assists, and Nathan Knox scored as well for the Gremlins (6-2, 6-0).

Butler's No. 1 doubles team of Courtney Kerr and Jocelyn Kerr split their two matches at the WPIAL Section 2-AAA tournament at North Allegheny Monday afternoon.The duo received a first-round bye before defeating Hampton's Erica Lombardo and Christina Sherred 10-5. The win was followed by a loss to North Allegheny's No. 1 team 6-0, 6-0.The Kerr sisters will return to North Allegheny this afternoon to compete in the consolation match.Butler's No. 2 team of Angie Byrnes and Ashley Brenckle defeated Shaler's Kate Brennan and Erin Bedig 10-4 before losing to Pine-Richland's Sara Lynch and Vanessa Inks 10-5.

Cameron Peterson shot a 74 to lead Grove City High to the victory in a District 10, Region 2 tournament Monday at Grove City Country Club.The Eagles won the event with a combined score of 404.
