Grove City golfers place third
Cameron Peterson and Derek Forese both shot a 78 to help the Grove City boys golf team to a third place finish at the District 10, Region 2 season finale Monday at Oakview Golf Club.
The Eagles finished with a 425, 10 strokes behind first-place Titusville.
Grove City ends the regular season as Region 2 champions with 51 points.
Four Eagle golfers - Peterson, Forese, Zach Frankenburg and Tony Campagna - will compete in the District 10 individual playoffs Oct. 12 and 15 at Greenville Country Club.
Slippery Rock finished in last place in both Monday's play and in the final region standings.
