Haney, Schnur
Melissa Haney of Portersville and Todd Schnur of Butler were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Aug. 14 at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. John McCloskey officiated. A reception was held at the General Butler Vagabonds.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Dorothy Haney of Portersville. Parents of the bridegroom are Bill and Roberta Schnur of Butler.
The maid of honor was Amanda Hood of Butler. Bridesmaids were Linsey Westerman of Freeport; Lindsay Schnur and Allison Schnur, both of Butler; and Amber Gardner of Volant. The flower girls were Hanna Schnur of Fenelton and Laura Haney of Ruffin, N.C.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Mike Schnur of Fenelton. Ushers were Mark Stonebraker and Matt Schaefer, both of Butler; Daniel Haney of New Castle; and Larry Haney of Ruffin, N.C.
The bride graduated in 1998 from Laurel High School and in 2003 from Slippery Rock University.
The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Butler High School and in 2001 from Slippery Rock University. He works for Freeport Transport in Freeport.
The couple is living in Butler after honeymooning in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
