Butler Church of the NazareneMusic for the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will be provided by Chrisann Green. Christ Community U.M.The summer schedule of worship at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township, begins this weekend with services at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and the contemporary service at 8:30 a.m. Sunday and the traditional service at 10 a.m. Sunday.The Chancel Choir banquet will be held Wednesday at the church.

Christ's OutreachAfour-part sermon series on "The Da Vinci Code"will begin this week at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Avenue.The Inner Change Praise Band will provide music for the Saturday service and Tammy Summers and Alexis Summers will provide music for the Sunday service.The Boy Scout Troup will host a car wash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart.The final Wednesday fellowship dinner will be held at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. Participants should take a dish to share. The Kids Caravan graduation ceremony will follow the dinner at 7 p.m.

Covenant PresbyMembers and friends of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., who have served in the armed forces will be honored during the 11 a.m. Sunday service. Those in attendance will be invited to tell the congregation the number of years served, theater of assignment and other details. Family members of deceased veterans may also participate. Uniforms, medals, photos and other memorabilia will be on display.The annual Ecclesiastical Meeting of the Congregation of Covenant Church will be held after the 11 a.m. Sunday service. Nominations will be accepted for the office of elder and the Church Officer Nominating Committee will be received. Committees and session groups will also present reports.

First BaptistGraduation ceremonies for the first high school class graduating of First Baptist Christian School will be held at 7 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St. The ceremony is open to the public.

First U.M.The Great Mysteries of the Bible small group of First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., will begin a new study on the book of Job on June 5. The class meets at 6 p.m. every other Monday in the Dickson Room. Faith Fellowship AllianceThe youth of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive, will host a work day at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Graceway CommunityMary Ann Mahan and Jenny Taylor will present vocal and instrumental music for the 10 a.m. Sunday service at GraceWay Community Church, Center Township Elementary School, Mercer Road, Center Township. In honor of Memorial Day, the service will include recognition of men and women who have given their lives in service to the country.The youth group of GraceWay Community Church will host a spaghetti dinner and silent auction from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the fellowship hall at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. The event will subsidize the youth trip to the Creation Christian music festival. Hill U.P.Brian Mueller, a student at Malone College, will perform a vocal solo at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.There will be no Sunday School classes this weekend. Sunday school for all ages will resume June 4. Sarver Free MethodistAfallen heroes service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Sarver Free Methodist Church, 509 Sarver Road, Sarver. The service will include patriotic music performed by gospel country artist Randy Quinn, a rifle salute by the Armstrong County American Legion Honor Guard and a display of more than 2,000 wooden crosses, symbolizing those who have lost their lives in the War in Iraq.Veterans present will be recognized, and the guest speaker will be retired Navy chaplain E. St. John U.C.C.The youth of St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 E.
