Butler Church of the NazareneSpecial music for the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road, will be provided by Jim Rea and the Rev. Robert Calhoon. Children's Church will be directed by Pam Calhoon.The Caravan Kid's Club will host a turkey dinner from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.The Sunday school board will meet at 6:30 p.m. July 11 and the church board will meet at 7:30 p.m.Styrofoam cups are being collected this month for the hospitality ministry.

Christ Community U.M.Members of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, are invited to attend a special planning meeting at 7:30 p.m. today for "Come and Get It, a new all-church program which begins in the fall. The program will include dinner, Bible study, children's musical groups, craft projects and other activities. Volunteers willing to assist with any activities should plan to attend.The church will participate in Camp Creation "Reboot" from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Island Playground. Old boots are needed for a project and should be taken to the church by Friday.An All-Church Camping weekend will begin Friday at Lutherlyn Campgrounds with an evening campfire. A Welcome Picnic, in honor of the Rev. Lisa Grant, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.Blood pressure screenings will follow all weekend worship services.Camp Creation's organizational meeting date has been changed to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.Members are invited to sing with the residents at the monthly worship and communion service at Sunnyview Home on Wednesday. Meet at the multi-purpose room prior to the start of the 10:30 a.m. service.The Prayer Shawl Ministry group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. July 13 at the church to work on projects.The food items being collected during July are peanut butter and jelly.

Christ's OutreachVicki Palmer and Laurine Heberling will provide music for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave.Members are reminded that the Community Food Bank items for July are canned fruits and vegetables. Donations can be deposited in the boxes at each church entrance. Anyone in need of assistance from the food bank should call 724-283-8407.

Covenant PresbyMary Ann Zeigler will be the guest organist at the 10 a.m. Sunday service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. Sara Giallombardo will perform a vocal solo at the service.The Covenant Cupboard Food Bank is requesting donations of cereal during July. Donation baskets are in the Jefferson Street entrance.Donations are now being accepted for the rummage and bake sale to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 5. in Fellowship Hall.

First BaptistThe Doug Wyler family musical team will conduct vacation Bible school at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St. from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.The church will be among congregations participating Monday through Saturday at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Slippery Rock, in senior high, basketball team, soccer team and wilderness camps. The camps are open to churches in the Association of Independent Baptist Churches of Western Pennsylvania.

First English LutheranA hymn sing will be held during both Sunday services at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.A meeting for volunteers who wish to help with the new church directory will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.During the week of July 11, the church and St. Luke's Church in Cabot will host Camp Creation.

First U.M.Dean Baktay will perform during a Worship and Healing service at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the sanctuary at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St.

Grace @ Calvary LutheranSeveral members from Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will assist with the Camp Creation reboot party from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Island Playground.The Faith Shapers youth group will not meet Wednesday.

Graceway CommunityThe all-church picnic for GraceWay Community Church, Center Township Elementary School, Mercer Road, has been rescheduled for Sunday. The picnic will be held at Camp Lutherlyn, Dogwood Pavilion. The event will begin at 4 p.m. and food will be served at 5:30 p.m. Participants should take a lawn chair. Members with last names beginning with A-L should take a salad or vegetable; M-Z, a dessert. The Dogwood Pavilion is behind the pool area.Music for the 10 a.m. Sunday service will be provided by Ruth Ferko and Beth Yost.The adult Wednesday evening Bible study will begin a new study on the abundance of God's mercy at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Senior High School, Room 301.

Hill U.P.The youth mission group will deliver a presentation on its Puerto Rico trip at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. Randy Kruger will lead the music.MAD camp musical money and registration forms are due immediately. Adults can sign up to help on the bulletin board near the choir loft. Campers should take their laundry basket and costume pieces to the first rehearsal on July 23.The Grateful Dads Bible study will meet at 7 a.m. tomorrow at Linda's Restaurant. Meridian U.P.The deacons of Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., will hold a special dinner for anyone 50 years old and older at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The theme is "Our Academy Awards Night."

New Life Christian MinistriesNew Life Christian Ministries, Knoch High School auditorium, 345 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, and its ministry partner Curves, Mars, will collect backpacks and school supplies to be shared with students in local school districts. Donations of new or used backpacks and school supplies may be dropped off at The Bridge, 102 Bay St., Penn Township from now to Aug. 13. After the picnic, they will carpool to Moraine Park for a boat cruise and program.The Worship Committee of St. John's Reformed Church will host a concert by Dan Schall at 7 p.m. Sunday.
