The driver of a red Chevy Van collided with two Harley Davidson Trike motorcycles heading to the Bike and BBQ event at the Butler Farm Show grounds Friday, July 22, 2022. According to one of the motorcyclists, the group of family and friends from Buffalo, New York, area were exiting Cooledge Street onto Route 8 when the van rounded the turn colliding into the group. Two of the motorcyclists were taken by ambulance to the hospital. Route 8 North was closed for several hours while first responders removed the wrecked vehicles from the scene of the accident. A botanical work of art — titled "Lilly" — by artist Faith Stoughton was one of the pieces featured in the show Art of the Bloom 22 at the Butler Art Center, 344 S.
