Monday — Police arrested Felix Medina, 63, of Butler on charges he allegedly had improper contact with a 13-year-old girl at the Connoquenessing Creek near South Monroe Street. Medina is charged with indecent assault, child endangerment and corruption of minors.
Sunday — Nathan Vanderzee, 28, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at the couple's McCalmont Road home The woman, who police did not identify, was treated for injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.Vanderzee was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond.10:29 p.m. Saturday — Brandon Lias, no age given, of Summit Township is accused of stealing the front grill off a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta parked at the Family Bowlaway on Fairground Hill Road. Lias is charged with theft.2:16 a.m. Saturday — Edward P. Martin, 27, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 near the Route 422 interchange.
10:01 p.m. Sunday — Kenneth Stark, 22, of Winfield Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his minivan struck a utility pole along Stoney Hollow Road in Winfield Township. Police said Stark, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.9:43 p.m. Thursday — Three people were injured in a chain-reaction crash at Route 8 and North Benbrook Road in Center Township.Police said the crash occurred when aminivan driven by Carrie Blose, 45, of Butler Township struck the rear of a car near the Pioneer Drive-in. The collision forced the car, driven by Mary S. Wilson, 45, of Clay Township into the rear of another car, driven by Barbara Workley, 55, of Prospect.All three drivers, who were wearing seat belts, police said, suffered minor injuries.9:55 p.m. July 1 — Bradley Lucco, 36, of Penn Township was injured when the motorcycle he was driving hit a deer on Meridian Road near Beacon Lite Road in Penn Township.Police said Lucco, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown off the cycle and suffered injuries described as "moderate."
4:28 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Larry Olinger, 64, of Kittannng and a sport utility vehicle driven by Kelli Sue Brown, 35, of Butler collided on Butler Road in West Kittanning, Armstrong County. Brown, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
