PENN TWP — A motorcyclist was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital after colliding with a pickup truck on Route 8 in Penn Township.

Investigators say the Harley Davidson was headed north on Route 8 when the pickup truck pulled out at Hunters Truck Sales, turning left to go south in front of the motorcycle. Investigators said the motorcyclist was conscious and alert but had hip and leg injuries. He was flown to UPMC Presbyterian by LifeFlight.

The truck driver was not injured.
