Tuesday — A Mongoose BMX bicycle was stolen overnight from a porch in the 400 block of West Fulton Street. The bike, which is cream in color and valued at $50, has no brakes.

1:17 a.m. Tuesday — Harold D. Burd, 44, of Harmony was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his daughter and his girlfriend at a home on Old Plank Road. Burd was arraigned on two counts each of simple assault and harassment and released on his own recognizance.Tuesday — A thief broke into two unlocked vehicles at a home on Pinecrest Court and stole three sets of General Motors factory DVD headphones and a small amount of money.Police remind residents to lock their car doors and to call 911 if they see anyone or anything suspicious during the night.

Monday — An Apple iPod Nano with headphones were found and turned in to the police station. The owner can claim the property by calling police at 724-458-7925.

Tuesday — Four aluminum wheel rims and a block of aluminum were stolen from a scrap yard on Route 19 in Portersville. The stolen property, which was taken between 7 and 11 p.m., is valued at $168.Tuesday — Money and cigarettes were stolen Monday or Tuesday from a car at a house on Panther Road in Connoquenessing Township.Tuesday — A vandal struck overnight on Cherry Road in Fairview Township, damaging a mailbox and throwing eggs at a home.

2 p.m. Tuesday — A Rimersburg man is a suspect in the theft of unspecified items including a check card from a home on Curllsville Road in Piney Township. Police believe the 28-year-old man, who they did not identify, took the property while he was staying at the 50-year-old woman's home. The investigation continues.Monday — About $750 worth of electrical copper wire was stolen from the foundation of a house on Route 68 in Toby Township. The wire, owned by Welcome Home Center of Brockway, Jefferson County, was taken between July 8 and Monday.Sunday — A vandal overnight damaged a mailbox at a home on Long Lane East in Madison Township.2 a.m. Saturday — Two Parker men were injured when Stevie R. Miller, 21, of Knox lost control of a sport utility vehicle they were riding in, struck an embankment and rolled over on East End Road in Paint Township.Andre S. Alexander, 35, Blaine J. Fulmer, 23, and Miller all suffered minor to moderate injuries. None of the occupants was wearing a seat belt. Miller was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

4:09 a.m. Tuesday — Jillian A. Goss, 21, of Lawrenceville, Tioga County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township.Tuesday — An identity thief used a West Kittanning woman's credit card to fraudulently buy $500 in food and merchandise at the Walmart and Foodland stores in East Franklin Township.

2:40 a.m. July 5 — Someone used an unknown explosive device to blow up a mailbox at a home in the 2000 block of Frew Mill Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police have no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-598-2211.
