9:30 p.m. Saturday — Lois A. Daniels, 23, was arrested on a felony charge after allegedly assaulting a police officer outside her home on Standard Avenue.Police had gone to Daniels' home with an arrest warrant stemming from a case. Officers took her to the patrol car but she refused to get inside. Patrolman David Villotti had to place her into the vehicle.When Villotti tried to close the door, Daniels' allegedly kicked it open. The door hit the officer on his left side. A police report did not indicate any injuries to Villotti.Daniels is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer.

8:45 p.m. Sunday — Joseph Clayton, 53, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 at the Routes 38/68 on-ramp in Summit Township.11:38 p.m. Saturday — A Venango County man was hurt when his car struck a tree that was across Route 268 in Hovey Township, Armstrong County. Justice M. Seeker, 19, of Kennerdell, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.Parker and Emlenton volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene.2:20 p.m. Saturday — Zachary J. Naples, 19, of Cabot suffered a minor injury when his motorcycle rear-ended a sport utility vehicle that was stopped in the traffic on Route 356 in Winfield Township.Naples, who was wearing a helmet, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Andra A. Schmid, 50 of Chicora was the other driver.4:47 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Daymon C. Stawicki, 31, of Chicora rolled over and slid into two pine trees after hitting a large landscaping stone along Route 488 just west of Kern Road in Muddy Creek Township.Police cited Stawicki for driving on the wrong side of the road, driving without a license and not wearing a seat belt.Friday — A blue, Huffy mountain bike was stolen from an unlocked greenhouse in a burglary at a home in the 400 block of Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township. The woman's bicycle, valued at $180, was stolen between July 28 and Friday. Police said they have no suspects.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

10:53 a.m. Aug. 2 — A pair of thieves, both white males, teamed up to shoplift unspecified merchandise from the Tractor Supply store in Pine Township. One of the suspects distracted employees while the other placed the store items in a back pack.

9 a.m. Sunday — Doreen L. Duncan, 48, of Portersville lost control of her car and crashed into a guardrail at Oswald and Wampum roads in Wayne Township. The car's front axle was damaged.However, Duncan drove the damaged car to a nearby private parking area, where she got a ride to a house in New Castle. Police said she never called authorities about the wreck. Later, she declined to be interviewed, according to a police report.Police cited Duncan for hit-and-run, failing to immediately police of an accident, failing to give information after an accident, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, disregarding traffic lanes and driving with worn tires.
