Butler PoliceMonday — Eli B. Houston, 30, of Summit Township was arrested on a warrant for misdemeanor drug charges stemming from a traffic stop about 11:45 a.m. Oct. 12 on West Diamond Street.Police pulled over Houston after he ran a stop sign at Bantam Avenue and Pullman Street. An officer smelled marijuana coming from the car and noticed the drug and a marijuana pipe in the center console, according to a police report.Houston was arraigned on charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and a stop-sign violation. He also waived those charges to court Monday. He is free on his own recognizance.
Butler Twp Police12:18 p.m. Wednesday — Vehicles driven by Bethany Klick, 24, of Butler and Michelle Zandarski, 40, of Cabot collided on New Castle Road at Butler Commons. Zandarski suffered minor back and neck injuries. Police cited Klick for driving at an unsafe speed.
Grove City Police8:30 a.m. Wednesday — A Diamondback bicycle was found on Greenwood Drive. The owner can claim the bike at the police station at 337 E. Pine St.Wednesday — An unknown thief broke into two cars on Park Street. The thefts happened between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 5:15 p.m. Wednesday. A police report did not indicate if anything was taken from the vehicles.Other overnight vehicle break-ins were reported in neighborhoods on Monroe and Harvard streets. A small amount of change was removed from the vehicles.Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.
State Police, ButlerDec. 2 — Police charged Elizabeth H. Arblaster, 24, of Slippery Rock after she was caught Nov. 22 with suspected drugs and contraband on Stoup Road in Adams Township. Arblaster is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
State Police, New Castle8:12 a.m. Wednesday — Speed and icy road conditions were blamed for a one-vehicle accident in Scott Township, Lawrence County. Caitlin S. Bupp, 20, of New Castle lost control of her car on Route 108 and crashed into two yards.Police cited her for driving too fast for conditions and driving without a license.
