Victoria R. Sgro
Victoria R. Sgro, 88, of Butler died at 5:44 a.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler, Nov. 6, 1918, she was the daughter of Leopoldo and Teresa Bunti Franceschini.
She was a homemaker and belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons, William L. Cummings of East Butler and James Sgro of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Wallace (Kathleen) Twedok of Butler and Mrs. Gary (Carol Jean) Shakely of Slippery Rock; and a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Sadlak of Butler. She also is survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Cummings, who died in 1945; her second husband, Anthony N. Sgro, who died Dec. 12, 2006; five brothers, and two sisters.
<B>SGRO </B>— There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian burial for Victoria R. Sgro, who died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue.
