Robert Walker Cummings
Robert Walker Cummings, 78, of Mims, Fla., died Aug. 3 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Fla.
Born Jan. 1, 1933, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Burwell and Anna Jane Walker Cummings.
He grew up in Parker Township and graduated from Bruin High School, where his mother taught English and Latin. He also graduated from Penn State in State College.
Mr. Cummings served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot in the Korean War.
He worked at various jobs and retired as an engineer at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Marie Cummings, who died June 20, 1981.
He is survived by a sister, Diane Cummings Barnhart of McMurray; a sister-in-law, Millie Lou Clatterbuck of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; and four nephews, David Lee Barnhart, Douglas Clyde Barnhart, Richard William Barnhart, and John Lee Clatterbuck.
<B>CUMMINGS </B>— Robert Walker Cummings, who died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, was buried with his wife at Union Chapel Cemetery in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
