Richard Schnur of Butler celebrated his 80th birthday with a party at Pullman Park with dinner catered by D’Anthony’s and a BlueSox baseball game.

Schnur was born June 8, 1932, in Rock Island, Ill.

He was the former owner/operator of Apple Alley B & B.

Schnur was also a self-employed accountant and income tax preparer.

He wrote several books on family histories, a mystery book and the history of Pullman Park.

Schnur is a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Butler.
