Robert Stephens Custom Jewelers, 141 N. Main St., now is owned and operated solely by Stephen Goslaw.

Goslaw began his career as an apprentice goldsmith in 1988. He and his uncle founded Robert Stephens Custom Jewelers in 1997.

All custom work and repairs are done by Goslaw at the shop.

[naviga:h3]Agency renovating East Butler building[/naviga:h3]

The Nonprofit Development Corp. in Butler is renovating the former Corner Bar in East Butler and turning it into a facility for the nonprofit’s construction company.

The agency bought the building last year.

Executive director Mike Robb said the renovations are expected to be done this spring.

The Community Builder’s Group, the nonprofit’s contracting company, will be housed there. That group provides the community with affordable commercial and residential construction, services and property maintenance.

Robb said the location is good geographically for the group because it has easy access to multiple state routes.

The nonprofit is a partner organization of the Center for Community Resources in Butler.

[naviga:h3]Jeep festival director honored[/naviga:h3]

PITTSBURGH — Patti Jo Lambert, director of the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival and a member of the Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association, was honored recently as the Not-For-Profit Communicator of the Year at the 2016 Public Relations Society of America Pittsburgh Renaissance Awards.

Lambert is the founding director of the Jeep festival, which started in 2011.

“Patti Jo has been an integral part of the festival’s success year after year,” said Rodney Schaffer, the Jeep association’s chairman, who nominated her for the award. “Her leadership and professional expertise is invaluable ...”

The award recognizes executives with outstanding communication skills, have community involvement, and make contributions to the profession. The winners are selected by the PRSA Pittsburgh Board.

This year’s Jeep festival is June 10 to 12 in Butler County.

[naviga:h3]Ben & Jerry’s has nondairy ice cream[/naviga:h3]

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. — Ben & Jerry’s now has nondairy ice cream.

The Vermont ice cream maker has created four flavors using a certified vegan almond milk base. Available are the classic Chunky Monkey and Chocolate Fudge Brownie flavors, plus a couple of new ones: Coffee Caramel Fudge and P.B. and Cookies. The P.B. and Cookies variety is a vanilla nondairy frozen dessert with chocolate sandwich cookies and crunchy peanut butter swirls.

University of Vermont nutrition Professor Mingruo Guo says he’s not surprised Ben & Jerry’s came out with nondairy products because a growing number of people don’t want to eat dairy products or they are unable to do so.
