EAST LACKAWANNOCK TWP, Mercer County — A northern Butler County woman allegedly kicked up a storm following a Tuesday afternoon traffic stop, during which she injured at least one state trooper, authorities said.

Nikki L. Fajohn, 23, of Marion Township landed in the Mercer County Jail on felony assault and other charges. She also is being held on a pair of bench warrants in her home county.

Police said the traffic stop occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the area of Route 19 and Interstate 80 in East Lackawannock Township.

She is accused of giving police a bogus name and then kicking two troopers, causing minor injuries to least one of the officers.

But Fajohn wasn't finished, according to a police report. She got into a “verbal confrontation” with the troopers, police said, and refused to get into the back of the patrol car.

“The accused made many attempts to break out of the patrol unit,” the report said, “and was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia.”

Police eventually learned that she was wanted on warrants out of Butler County.

She was placed in Mercer County Jail on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, false identification to law enforcement authorities, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is also being held on the warrants.

Butler County Court records showed one warrant was issued Sept. 29, after Fajohn failed to appear for a hearing in a felony theft case. The other warrant Oct. 25 was for failing to show for a hearing in an unrelated felony trespass case.
