CELEBRATING A BIRTHDAY today is Jewel Ann Erkman, 10, daughter of Bobbi Jo Erkman and Christopher Erkman, all of Butler.

THE BUTLER PUBLIC Library will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Summer hours at the library begin Tuesday and run through Sept. 6. The library will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It is closed on Sunday.
