LANCASTER TWP — A man who fell from a dead tree he was working on along Scott Ridge Road Monday afternoon suffered a spinal injury, according to responders.

Harmony Fire District Chief Scott Garing said the man suffered “traumatic” injuries to his spinal area. The victim was transported to a hospital in Pittsburgh via a Life Flight helicopter.

It is unknown how he fell from the tree.

Harmony EMS and the township police were also at the scene.
