Helen W. Ifft
Helen W. Ifft, 97, died Friday in Evans City.
Born February 6, 1913, in Oakmont, she was a daughter of Frank and Mayme (Sheasley) Williams, who are deceased.
Helen was a graduate of Penn State University and went on to teach school in Plum Borough, Johnstown and West Allegheny school districts. She was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, the Senior Center in Evans City and the Coraopolis Quilting Group. She enjoyed quilting and reading.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Ferguson and her husband Kent of Erie, and Katherine Howard and her husband Jack of Harmony; three grandchildren, Caroline (William) McKnight, Sandra (Joseph) Krainer and Michael Murphy; four great-grandchildren, Billy McKnight, Aubrey Krainer, Jared Campell-Murphy and Tara Lynn Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles C. Ifft, who died on December 29, 1990, as well as one brother and one sister.
