Butler County's great daily newspaper

Miller Minutes

According to the film industry, a lot of people find love at the fair.

Watch “The Notebook,” “Grease,” “Meet Me in St. Louis,” and even the Elvis classic “It Happened at the World’s Fair,” and all of them feature carnival rides, cotton candy and cowboy boots.

Lucky for you, the opportunity to get your fairground fix is here. The Big Butler Fair comes to town this week, giving you the chance to take your love or loved ones out to experience it.

See the livestock, demolition derbies and work of excellent crafters. Taste the stromboli and funnel cake, try your luck at the ring toss or get dizzy on the tilt-a-whirl.

Long story short, take a hint from the movies and head out to the fair this Friday and all next week at the Big Butler Fair Grounds, 1127 New Castle Road, Franklin Township.
