State police offer program for teens interested in career
HERSHEY — Teens ages 15 to 18 who are considering a career in law enforcement are invited to attend a new program by the Pennsylvania State Police.
The Hill Impact program gives teens a look into the job of a state trooper via interaction with troopers, learning about various aspects of the law like crime and vehicle codes, rules of criminal procedures and principles of law enforcement.
The program is free and promises a unique experience showcasing the career of a state police trooper, said Major George Bivens, director of the PSP’s Bureau of Training and Education.
The 15-week program will take place one evening per week and on one Saturday per month beginning in February at the PSP Academy in Hershey.
Interested teens should contact Trooper Clint Long by Jan. 7 at 717-497-4577.
