William and Pearl Jane Miller

William and Pearl Jane Miller of Portersville will celebrate 55 years of marriage Thursday.

The former Pearl Jane Schroder married Miller on Sept. 20, 1952, at Glade Run United Presbyterian Church in Middlesex Township.

They have a daughter, Cathy McClelland of Prospect. Another daughter, Linda Miller, is deceased.

They also have a grandchild.

Miller retired in 1987 from working as a self-employed truck driver.

Mrs. Miller works as a majority inspector for elections in Portersville.

The couple belongs to New Life Baptist Church in Prospect.
