Butler County Community College
• The Tornado Big Band, consisting of students in grades seven through 12 in the Butler School District performing jazz, Latin, rock and classic big band songs, will play as part of BC3’s Local Artists Mini-Series at 7:30 p.m. today. Tickets are $10.
• The National Players in “To Kill a Mockingbird,” based on Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, will be staged at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Succop Theater. Tickets are $20.
Slippery Rock University
• The Kaleidoscope Arts Festival concludes with the play “Terminus” at 7:30 p.m. today at Sheehy Theater, a jazz ensemble and jazz lab band performance at 7:30 p.m. today in Swope Music Hall, and a Bridgman/Packer: “Truck” performance at 8 p.m. today at the Miller Auditorium loading dock; and for Friday, Opera Scenes at 7:30 p.m. in Swope Music Hall, and Let’s Hang On, a Frankie Valli tribute, at 7:30 p.m. in the University Union MPR.
• The Cadillac Three will play at 5:30 p.m. Friday in advance of country music star Lee Brice in the Aebersold Student Recreation Center. Tickets are $20 for students and $40 for general admission.
Grove City College
• The biannual student art exhibition is on display through May 7 in the Pew Fine Arts Gallery. An artists’ reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
• The Department of Music presents the symphonic concert band and wind ensemble concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Ketler Auditorium.
• The jazz ensemble presents its spring concert at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Ketler Auditorium.
Admission to these events is free.
Westminster College
• Westminster’s symphony orchestra performs in concert at 7:30 p.m. today in Orr Auditorium. Admission is free.
• Theatre Westminster presents Jane Austen’s “Northanger Abbey” at 7:30 p.m. nightly through Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and non-Westminster students. Visit www.thtrwestminster.org/ordertickets.
