State Police, Butler7:03 p.m. Sunday — A Grove City man was nearly three times over the legal limit for driving under the influence of alcohol when he dropped his motorcycle on Dogwood Street in Parker, Armstrong County.The suspect, Larry L. Scott, 42, appeared impaired when police found him. He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.230 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.2:32 a.m. Sunday — John K. Mitchell, 33, of Uniontown, Fayette County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 68 at the Connoquenessing Elementary School in Connoquenessing Township.11:11 p.m. Thursday — Felony drug charges are pending against a 20-year-old Allegheny County man found with a quarter pound of suspected marijuana following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.Police did not identify the 20-year-old suspect from McCandless. Charges are pending lab reports.8:25 a.m. Tuesday — An Allegheny County teenager lost control of her car and crashed into an embankment on Route 28 about two miles north of exit 17 in Buffalo Township. Britney S. Knowlton, 18, of Natrona Heights faces a ticket for driving too fast for conditions, according to a police report.
State Police, Clarion7:16 p.m. Wednesday — Jeffrey A. Everetts, 51, of Parker was arrested on a list of charges, including a felony, following a traffic stop on Route 208 in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.Police stopped Everetts for driving without his headlights on, in a failed attempt to avoid arrest. Police said the suspect was wanted on a pair of warrants.He is charged with flight to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment, a felony. Additionally he is charged with identity theft, driving with an altered license plate, being a habitual offender for driving with a suspended license and false identification to law enforcement authorities, all misdemeanors.Additionally, he was cited for driving with a suspended license-DUI related, driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving with insurance, driving without headlights, giving false information, illegal use of and improper display of a license plate, failing to carry his vehicle registration card and failing to sign the registration card.Everetts was placed in the Venango County Jail on the warrants.
State Police, Kittanning2:57 p.m. Saturday — One person was hurt in a four-vehicle wreck on Route 28 in O’Hara Township, Allegheny County. One of the drivers, Nichole L. Kurtz, 25, of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, suffered minor injuries.The other drivers were Ursula M. Burkett, 35, and Jade L. Hilliard, 21, both of Freeport; and Stacey E. Whipple, 37, of Jeannette, Westmoreland County. Police cited Burkett for following too closely to another vehicle.
