8:35 a.m. Friday - An unidentified vehicle struck a car parked on Race Street and did not stop following the crash. The car struck in the crash was pushed into a second parked car. John Lipke and Barbara Hawyliak, both of Butler, own the cars.Thursday - Kenneth Grazinger, 19, of 408 Bredin St. was arrested for allegedly cashing or attempting to cash three stolen checks on Wednesday and Thursday.He is charged with three counts of forgery, theft by deception and two counts of attempted theft by deception.Grazinger, who was also wanted on a bench warrant issued by Butler County court, remains in the county prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.
8:02 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Terry Hook, no age given, of Sligo rolled onto its roof and slid nearly 110 feet after hitting an embankment on Route 68 in Toby Township, Clarion County. Hook was taken to Clarion Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
6:30 p.m. Friday - A sport utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Rural Valley boy whom police did not identify, skidded on snow-covered Route 422 in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County, near the Butler County line, and collided with a truck driven by David Frye, 61, of Kittanning.6:30 p.m. Friday - A vehicle driven by Viola Klingensmith, 32, of Kittanning skidded off Route 28 in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, and struck a fallen tree and ditch. Klingensmith, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
2:40 p.m. Saturday - A 3-year-old girl was seriously injured in a two-car collision at Routes 208 and 19 in Springfield Township, Mercer County.The crash occurred when cars driven by Jennifer Baxter, 21, of New Castle and Ronald Braho, 42, of West Middlesex collided at the intersection. The unidentified girl, a passenger in Baxter's car, was taken to United Community Hospital in Grove City and later flown by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.The condition of the girl, who was secured in a child passenger seat, was not known this morning. Baxter, who was not wearing a seat belt, and Braho, who was wearing a seat belt, were taken to United Community Hospital with minor injuries.8 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Cassie Buchanan, 20, of Grove City skidded off snow-covered Route 19 in Coolspring Township, Mercer County, and struck the concrete wall of a railroad trestle overpass7:10 a.m. Friday - Pickup trucks driven by James Morrison, 38, and Richard Palmer, 41, both of Grove City, collided on North Liberty Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County. Morrison, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Camden Palmer, 12, of Grove City, a passenger in Palmer's pickup and wearing a seat belt, also suffered minor injuries.
