Amy Achesinski recorded 35 points and 11 rebounds to power the Butler girls basketball team to a 60-52 victory over Plum in a non-section game Thursday.
Maria Baroffio added 11 points for the Tornado (5-1), who took advantage of an 18-3 second quarter for the road victory.

The Slippery Rock girls team placed fifth and the boys squad sixth at the season-opening Keystone Oaks Relay Invitational.Caleb Sykora-Bodie, Kyle Hawk, Chuck Davies and Andrew Oalewski captured the 500-yard freestyle crescendo relay with a time of 5:20.99. The quartet also placed fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:50.97) and fifth in the 200 medley (2:09.70) with the added contribution of Josh McCracken.In the girls meet, third-place finishes were recorded in the 200 medley (2:16.98), 400 medley (5:15.80) and 500 freestyle (6;30.85) and a fourth-place showing in the 400 backstroke (6:07.0).Slippery Rock will return to action Monday against Grove City.
Tony Manfred scored the lone goal for Butler in its 6-1 loss to Pittsburgh Central Catholic Wednesday.
