Yellowjackets sting East Allegheny, 69-55
Brian Zimmerman had 19 points and nine rebounds, and Cory Massart added 17 points to power Freeport to a 69-55 boys basketball victory over East Allegheny Tuesday.
All five scorers for Freeport reached double figures, including Chris Tagmyer (12), Nate Kotecki (11) and Brady Sherrieb (10).
Tagmyer added seven rebounds and six assists, and Sherrieb had five assists. Kotecki hit all three of his 3-pointers in the pivotal fourth quarter for the Yellowjackets (7-2, 3-0).
