The Mars boys and girls track and field teams continued to roll as the Planets boys routed Kittanning 139-11 and the girls rolled to a 123-27 victory Tuesday afternoon.

Justin Piocquidio won the high jump and the long jump and ran legs on the winning 400- and 1,600-meter relay teams for the Planets.

In other meets:

• Ben Hutterer and Luke Tabacchi each won two events as the Knoch boys earned a double-dual sweep over Pine-Richland (104-41) and Shaler (93½ -56½ ).

In the girls meet, Knoch's Carol Cress won the javelin, but the Knights fell to the Rams and Titans.

• Elissa McCune had her hand in four winning events as the Slippery Rock girls toppled Sharon 111-38.

On the boys side, Derrick Orloski won two throwing events to help the Rockets to a double-dual sweep of Sharon(98-47) and George Junior Republic (95-55).

• Da'Lynn Mills won three events against North Allegheny and North Hills in a double- dual split for the Seneca Valley girls.

The Raiders fell to NA 81-61, but beat NorthHills 102-39.

On the boys side, Seneca Valley improved to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the section with a 118-32 win over North Hills and an 80-70 triumph over NorthAllegheny.

Knoch's Brandon Anandan lost to Quaker Valley's Alex Sinu in the WPIAL Class AA tennis singles championship match Tuesday at Lakevue Racquet Club in Valencia.Anandan lost the first set 6-2 before winning the second set on a tie-breaker, 7-6 (7-4).He was trailing Sinu 6-5 in the third set and was one point away from defeat when the umpire charged Anandan with his fourth unsportsmanlike foul of the match and he was disqualified.

Paige Macadaeg and Hillary Rihn each scored goals, but Knoch fell to Sewickley Academy 17-2 Tuesday.In other games:n Seneca Valley (7-0) stayed perfect with a 12-10 win over North Allegheny.The Raiders host Pine- Richland Thursday, with the winner taking sole possession of first place in the section.
