3:06 a.m. today - Katrin Turner, 24, of 104 Crowe Road, Renfrew, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 8 South.2:26 a.m. Thursday - A car parked at Brady and Franklin streets caught fire. Butler firefighters were called and put out the flames under the hood.Joel Grabe of Penn Township, owner of the car, said he had parked the car at 10 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the fire is not considered suspicious and may have started due to an electrical problem.Thursday - Randy Stephenson, 42, of 325 Young Ave., was charged with breaking into a North Washington Street apartment on June 24 and taking two checks. He allegedly forged and cashed the checks for $120 and $175.Stephenson, who is already in the Butler County Prison on unrelated charges filed by Butler Township police, is charged in the city case with burglary and two counts each of forgery, theft and receiving stolen property.John Revelli and Paul Vensel own the checks taken from the North Washington Street apartment.Thursday - Matthew Waldor reported someone between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 5:15 a.m. Thursday took a stereo from his car parked on West Jefferson Street.3:49 p.m. Wednesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Patrick Hotopp, 33, of Seven Fields and a car driven by Amber Melhorn, 20, of Chicora collided at Jefferson and Washington streets.5:04 p.m. Tuesday - A tractor-trailer driven by Bernard Connor III, 48, of Uniontown, Fayette County, struck a fence on Morton Avenue near Graham Road. Michael Beichner of Morton Avenue owns the fence.

Monday - Two storage trailers at a construction site on North Street near Riverside Avenue were reportedly burglarized Sunday or Monday. Nothing was taken from the trailers.Sunday - An undetermined amount of coins was taken from a house on the 100 block of Blaine Street.Saturday - A pickup driven by Doug Macrae, 52, of South Center Street Extension and a car driven by Lois Stuck, 74, of Rainey Avenue collided at West Pine Street and College Avenue. Macrae was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.July 30 - A mini-van driven by Thomas Forrisi, 41, of Zelienople and a sport utility vehicle driven by Heather Wilson, 30, of New Castle collided at South Center and West Main streets. Forrisi was cited for a traffic signal violation.July 28 - Vandals between July 22 and 28 spray-painted buildings at 408 and 420 Hillcrest Avenue. Meanwhile, someone on July 21 or 22 spray-painted graffiti on a wall, garage door and two Dumpsters at United Community Hospital's business offices on Hillcrest Circle.July 27 - A 24-inch blue, Huffy bicycle with "mountain climber" etched on the side was reported stolen from 126 Edgewood Ave. The bike is valued at about $100.July 22 - Vehicles driven by Peggy Ann Davis, 37, of West Main Street and Tasha Long, 20, of Harrisville collided at Kinder Avenue and Main Street.

4:29 a.m. Saturday - Chad Michael Burr, 21, of Evans City apparently fell asleep at the wheel of his truck on Lindsay Road, causing the vehicle to overturn on its side and travel over an embankment. Burr suffered minor injuries.11:45 a.m. July 29 - A Vogel Disposal Services garbage truck, driven by a man whom police did not identify, and a car driven by Judy Spinelli, 43, of Evans City collided at Routes 19 and 528. Spinelli was treated at a hospital for undisclosed injuries. The truck driver was cited for a traffic signal violation.12:55 p.m. July 24 - A motorcycle driven by John Paul Steffler, 48, of Pulaski, Lawrence County, crashed on Route 528 near Prospect Road. Steffler was taken with undisclosed injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.9:20 a.m. July 23 - An employee at Berry Metals on Evans City Road reported someone overnight stole scrap copper from a Dumpster in the rear of the building. The value of the copper was estimated at more than $100.8 a.m. July 21 - The owner of Northgate Laundry in the Northgate Plaza on Route 19 reported someone overnight stole $307 in quarters from a change machine at the business.2:42 p.m. July 21 - A car driven by Charles Lemasters, 47, of New Castle struck the rear of a motorcycle driven by Matthew Bartley, no age, of McKeesport, Allegheny County, on Route 68. Lemasters was cited for careless driving.8:50 p.m. July 21 - Joann Paris, 49, of Cranberry Township was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after her car struck a vehicle at the Striker's Sports Bar parking lot on Route 19. Police said Paris drove off after the crash but was later pulled over in her car.

11:41 p.m. Thursday - Cars driven by Carrie Long, 32, of Parker and Melissa Mechlin, 27, of Foxburg, Armstrong County, collided on Route 268 in Donegal Township.1:37 a.m. Thursday - Melissa Kaiser, 48, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at New Castle and North Duffy roads in Butler Township.2:45 p.m. Wednesday - Vehicles driven by Douglas Wetzel, no age given, of Butler and John Caparoula, no age given, of New Castle collided on Route 422 in Connoquenessing Township.

12:05 a.m. Thursday - An 18-year-old Butler woman, whom police did not identify, was arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop on Route 28 in East Deer Township, Allegheny County. Police searched the woman's car and found suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending in the arrest.12:03 a.m. Wednesday - Amy Schrag, 36, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 66 in Manor Township, Armstrong County.

Tuesday - A shopping bag containing a pair of shoes, T-shirt and a bag of chocolate-covered peanuts was taken from a room between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. in a burglary at the Comfort Inn-Grove City in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Holly Molony of Charleston, S.C., owns the stolen property.
