Commissioners reviewing county government before making changes

Kevin Boozel, Leslie Osche and Kim Geyer

The Butler County commissioners are assessing county government before making major changes, according to Commissioner Leslie Osche, board chairman.

Osche said the board is planning for the long term.

The commissioners spoke this morning to business leaders at a session sponsored by the legislative action committee of the Butler County Chamber of Commerce at the Cranberry Township municipal building.

Commissioners Kim Geyer and Kevin Boozel agreed that their work improving county finances would be a methodical process.

The three commissioners spoke about various topics such as the county budget, state funding and implementing more technology in county government.

They also concurred that they will be a more cohesive board than the one they followed.

These three were elected in November and took office in January.
