Map book shows county land
The new Butler County Landowner Map book will soon be available through the Butler County Conservation District. The Butler County Assessment Mapping Division has provided the maps for the new publication.
The book will contain detailed maps of each of Butler County's 33 townships showing landowners' names and acreage. Also included is an alphabetical index to landowners to help you more easily locate tracts of land.
The landowner maps were first published in 1986 and again in 1991 and 1998.
The books are especially helpful for hunters, real estate agents, surveyors, appraisers, foresters, farmers, contractors, engineers or anyone who works with the land.
But, due to continual sales and transfers of property, it is impossible to guarantee 100 percent accuracy. Because of that, the contents of the book are not intended for any legal use in sales, trades or transfer of land.
The conservation district has plenty of free Butler County Soil Books available. Information in that book is useful to builders, planners, farmers and developers. Finally, topographical maps are also available.
