Octet set
The Performing Arts Series at Butler County Community College promises a “brasstacular” evening of music Feb. 28.
The River City Brass Band Octet is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. in the Succop Theater.
The ensemble comes from the larger River City Brass Band, one of the foremost brass bands worldwide.
The group will be playing music all the way from the Great American Songbook to classical with pop and Broadway along the way. A few patriotic numbers are on the program as well.
Tickets are $20 for reserved seating, $18 for senior citizens age 65 and older, and $10 for students. Visit bc3.edu/theater or call 724-284-8505. Tickets also will be available at the door.
The final show in the 2019-20 Performing Arts Series will be Semi-Toned, British a cappella singers and humorists, on April 8.
The Pittsburgh Philharmonic Series at BC3 will feature “New World Sounds” on March 21 and “Symphonic Star-Crossed Lovers” on May 16, both in the Succop Theater.
