Laura Barbara (Czyzyk) Gardina

Laura Barbara (Czyzyk) Gardina, mother and homemaker, went to heaven to be with the Lord on Dec. 10. She lived in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

She was a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Church in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Laura was born in Lyndora on Dec. 9, 1927, to Aniela (Tupaj) and Julius Czyzyk.

She is survived by her husband, Francis; three daughters, Kathryn Ann Gardina of Westcliffe, Colo., Ann (Nancy) Laura (Joe) Aninao of Columbus, Ohio, and Bernadette Marie Gardina of Columbus; son, Paul Francis Gardina of Columbus; grandson, James Francis Gardina of Columbus; and sister, Mary S. Rehm of Butler.

Laura was preceded in death by her daughter, Marian Teresa Gardina; her parents; brothers, Raymond, Theodore (Bernice), Joseph (Jean) and Leo Czyzyk; and a sister, Pearl C. Holbein.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother

GARDINA — Laura Barbara (Czyzyk) Gardina passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012.There was a Mass of Christian burial on Thursday at the Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Mount Vernon.Donations may be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 303 East High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050, in Laura's memory.
