Otto W. “Bud” Blymiller Jr.
Otto W. “Bud” Blymiller Jr., 85, of Butler passed away Friday at the Meadow Lake Manor.
He was born June 1, 1931, in Butler to the late Otto W. Blymiller Sr. and the late Violet Foust Blymiller.
Otto had been a member of the First United Methodist Church and Christ Community Church.
Bud served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during the Korean War. He also worked as a superintendent in the masonry department for Armco before retiring in March 1989.
Bud was a member of the William H. Miller Lodge No. 769, F&AM and belonged to the VFW. He enjoyed golf, camping, square dancing, playing cards, bingo and working in the yard.
He is survived by one son, Jeffrey G. Blymiller and his wife, Joyce, of Butler; one daughter, Cheryl E. Blymiller and her husband, Rusty Smith, of Omaha, Neb.; his daughter-in-law, Cristina Blymiller of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Gregg Blymiller, Brian W. Blymiller and his wife, Rachel, Pamela J. Blymiller and her significant other, Luke Katich, and Niklas R. Blymiller and his significant other, Casey Klukaszewski; two great-grandchildren, Blake Blymiller and Isabella Blymiller; one sister, Mary Ann Mohr of Chicora; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Elma Blymiller, who he married July 3, 1954 and who passed away Feb. 19, 2016; one son, Bruce S. Blymiller; and two sisters.
BLYMILLER — Friends of Otto W. Blymiller, who died Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Goodman officiating.Burial will take place at the Greenlawn Burial Estates.Officers and members of the American Legion Post 117 of Butler, American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora and VFW Post 249 of Butler will provide military honors at the cemetery.Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 1100 Liberty Ave, Ste.
