The Hope For Broken Hearts Vigil at 7 p.m. Wednesday includes a brief service and a candlelight walk.

The Rev. John Friedlund returns as guest speaker Sunday at New Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, 1195 Airport Road, Emlenton. He was the New Zion pastor from 1985 to 1988 and is senior pastor at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church of Boyertown.

The youth group of Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, joins youths from other churches for a scavenger hunt Sunday in Pittsburgh. The group leaves at 1 p.m. and returns at 5:30 p.m.

SAINT ANDRES UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., observes World Communion Sunday with the Lord’s Supper during the worship service Sunday.

A Bless Be the Tie That Binds service and supper is at 4 p.m. Oct. 8. Supper is after the service in the memorial room. Contact the church office by Tuesday to confirm participation and request transportation.

The midweek youth program starts Oct. 11.

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN
