Johanna E. Butler, 72, of Penn Township died Thursday at her home.

Born Oct. 17, 1936, in Homestead, she was the daughter of John J. Ignatz and Elizabeth Macko Ignatz.

She had worked as a barmaid at the Richland Hotel.

Surviving are her companion, Thomas B. Huwalt of Butler; her daughter, Roxanne Grumeretz of Indianapolis, Ind.; three brothers, John Ignatz of Fort Myers, Fla., James Ignatz of Henderson, Nev., and Gary Ignatz of Chambersburg, Pa.; two sisters, Mary Ann Steffensmeier of Aliquippa and Barbara Ann Baranak of West Mifflin; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
