Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., has the noisy offering of loose change during the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service. The proceeds benefit the church’s missionary in the Philippines.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

During the week, Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., will host the AA Group at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Weight Watchers at 7 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. Aug. 2 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 4.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will operate Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank open to the public from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Members and friends of the church will attend Saturday’s Butler BlueSox baseball game. Tailgating at the old Shop’n Save parking lot begins at 4:30 p.m., and the game starts at 7:05 p.m. Take a snack to share.

The youths who attended the National Youth Gathering will have a “Thank You Coffee Hour” from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the social hall. They will share stories and pictures from their trip.

Ladies’ Night Out is at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Rock Ann Haven, 141 Greenwood Drive. All ladies of all ages are invited.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Tom Kifer and the Tom Walker family provide the music at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Lay pastor Karl Kennedy will deliver the message on Deacons’ Sunday at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

The loose plate offering will go to the Deacons’ ministries.

The Deacons will host an ice cream social following worship.

The pastor nominating committee will make a presentation at 10:20 a.m. Sunday in the sanctuary.

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will have one worship service at 9 a.m. Sunday.

WIC will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., welcomes the Rev. Fred Young to the pulpit during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship.

The church will have an evening of baseball, fireworks, and fun Aug. 3 when the Butler BlueSox play West Virginia at Kelly Automotive Park. Meet at the main entrance at 6 p.m. The game begins at 7:05 p.m. with fireworks afterward. Sign up with Chuck King or in the narthex.

The Weckerly corn roast will be Aug. 12.

ST. JOHN’S UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City, has its 10 a.m. Sunday worship at EDCO Park in Evans City. A picnic and games will follow worship.

The Garden Club will have a work session at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
