Rosie Grace VanDyke of Butler, formerly of South Buffalo Township, will celebrate her 80th birthday with a family dinner Feb. 13 at the Clarion Hotel Conference Center in New Kensington.

The former Rosie Grace Younkins was born Feb. 11, 1931, at home in Leasureville, Winfield Township.

She married William Blair VanDyke on Sept. 19, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport. He is deceased.

She has one child, Cheryl Harvey of Chicora. She also has three grandsons.

Mrs. VanDyke was employed by Liberty Mirror in Brackenridge and Moonlight Mushrooms in Winfield Township.

She enjoys baking, gardening and embroidery.

She has made many quilts and enjoys making crafts of all kinds.

She is a member of Freeport Chapter 179 Order of the Eastern Star. She is also past Mother Advisor of Freeport Assembly 129 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

Mrs. VanDyke is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport and attends Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler.
